Jane Eyibio is a multidisciplinary leader bridging the gap between scientific rigor and strategic impact. With expertise spanning genetics, soil science, and information technology, she brings a rare, systems-thinking approach to Nigeria’s most pressing environmental challenges.

Her career is rooted in the “science of life,” beginning with a degree in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Calabar. She further specialized with a postgraduate degree in Soil Science and Physical Land Management from the University of Abuja, where she also served as a Graduate Assistant, driving research into sustainable land dynamics. In 2024, she earned her MSc in Information Technology and Management from Ahmadu Bello University, a move that allows her to integrate data-driven decision-making into large-scale environmental programming.

Beyond her academic credentials, Jane is a catalyst for community-led change. She spearheaded “Save the Soil Day,” a collaborative initiative promoting responsible land use, and has contributed her expertise to DAPER, addressing the social and environmental intersections of rehabilitation. An active member of the Soil Science Association of Nigeria and the Genetics Society of Nigeria, she remains at the forefront of evolving scientific discourse.

As Head of Programs & Partnerships at Protect Earth Network, Jane oversees the strategic execution of the organization’s most critical initiatives. From pollution control to biodiversity conservation, she translates complex science into actionable community solutions, ensuring that every partnership drives meaningful, measurable progress for the planet.
