Head of Programs & Partnerships

Jane Johnson Eyibio is an environmental sustainability leader, strategic partnerships specialist, and international environmental policy advocate with expertise in climate action, biodiversity conservation, plastic pollution, environmental governance, and sustainable development.

As the Head of Programs & Partnerships at Protect Earth Network (PEN), she leads strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and the design and implementation of high-impact environmental programmes. She has cultivated collaborations with government institutions, international development organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector to advance conservation, environmental policy, and community-led sustainable development across Nigeria.

Jane has represented Protect Earth Network at major international environmental forums, including the Fourth Session (INC-4) in Ottawa, Canada, and the resumed Fifth Session (INC-5.2) in Geneva, Switzerland, of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution, contributing to global negotiations under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) toward a legally binding international treaty to end plastic pollution. She also participated in the Learning Route for Life and Territory: Peace with Nature in Colombia, an international South-South cooperation initiative led by APC Colombia that convened leaders from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East to exchange knowledge on environmental governance, biodiversity conservation, peacebuilding, and sustainable territorial development. Her expertise spans environmental policy, programme management, strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, donor relations, grant development, and environmental diplomacy. Jane has contributed to donor-funded initiatives that promote plastic pollution reduction, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and the economic empowerment of women and young people through community-based environmental action.

Jane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biotechnology from the University of Calabar, a Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Science and Physical Land Management from the University of Abuja, and a Master’s degree in Information Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She is committed to advancing nature-based solutions and collaborative leadership that strengthen environmental sustainability and accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
